As a methodology for performance creation, Laura organizes workshops in which participants explore different ways of interpreting their relationships to the environments they inhabit, whether physical, social, or virtual. The solo and collaborative workshops she has presented often involve practices of collective creation with the goal of producing new narratives and images through shared processes of making. Through different exercises ranging from drawing and writing to interaction with motion capture technologies and textile materials, participants are guided to delve into their subconscious to materialize new embodied movements and shapes.

Laura also adopts this format for creating movement scores in the development of her performance work, in which performers participate in a workshop prior to engaging with a textile piece.

Morphing Networks: Embodying Collectivity Through Performance

SBC Galerie D’art Contemporain, December 6, 2025

This workshop invited 10 participants to reflect on their relationships to the structures they belong to, whether they are social, physical, mental, or virtual. Through a series of writing, drawing and breathing exercises, they each created a sequence of movement that was then enacted when they put on a textile that binded them together. From individual movements emerged a collective choreography.
